Valley Creations covers the interests of Steve Scott and Ruth Love. There is information here on gardening, painting, drawing, sculpture, family and social history, cooking, carpentry, chair making and green woodwork. Steve sometimes takes tours round the Yorkshire Sculpture Park, and helped look after the local cycle paths for Sustrans, the national cycle network charity. Ruth is very interested in social justice and volunteers for the Yorkshire Wildlife Trust at Stirley Farm and the RSPB in various places. She is active in the Green Party and was a member of Hexadaisy Morris Side.

Having watched a program on solitary flower bees and having recent logs lying around, I thought we’d give making another bee intended log pile/ stumpery a try. I did manage to overheat a small drill with my usual gung-ho approach. First I had to remove all the suckers from the Hazel, then split some of the logs, then the drilling and piling
