Valley Creations reflects Steve Scott and Ruth Love. We both have varied interests and have spent our lives trying to make things better for all. We believe that by making small changes to the way that we all do things and thinking about interests outside ourselves, we can make things better. We have always carried out volunteer functions and tried to minimise our negative impacts on the world. The garden and all the other things on this website represent that.
Like all animals we humans are selfish. Unlike other animals we are able to hugely multiply our impacts. Unlike other animals we can also discuss what we do and could make decisions that minimise our bullying and negative effects. We have a responsibility to do that.
Here is some information from the UK Met Office showing some of those impacts.

- Mayday
We’ve crept into May and the temperatures are swinging with the change of wind direction. Some glorious sunshine but not enough rain. Trees swapping from blossom to leaf and everything looking crisp before it all becomes too overblown.

Unknown origin but annually welcome Cow Parsley
Verging on Lugubrious
Cercis blossom begins to hide behind statuesque leaves
The landscape is playing hideNseek
Welcome and less than welcome butterflies
