After designing and getting a new kitchen fitted, Stephen wanted to perch at the breakfast bar to have coffee and do the crossword. Assessing what wood was left from my firewood man purchase and parts of logs remaining from previous chairs, we started discussing form and function. We than experimented with different shapes, sizes and carving till we were happy. As the seats are lighweight, we reinforced them with a block for each leg, giving extra mortice depth.
They work and are surprisingly comfortable, but the problem with this sort of stool is that they really only work for the right leg length.
