| My dad was a carpenter and, when my brother and I were kids, I was bought a small tool set and my parents took out assurance policies to buy our tools when we became apprentices. Apprenticeships never happened, but later, when kids came along, I started saving money by making furniture and fixing things and the habit never went away. I have designed and made beds, shelf units, desks, benches, pergolas, carports, stage sets and much more. Amazingly, even some of the first, crude pieces are still in use. |
