I started art/craft by watching others and trying to work out how it was done, or even better listening when they explained it. I in turn have always tried to pass on to others what I’ve found works. Sharing the fun and even the difficulties certainly helps me. We all have things that we can do more easily and others that we find harder and tricks and hints particularly help here but you need to find the ones that work for you and keep trying occasionally till it clicks.
